3 policemen suspended after murder accused flees from hospital



KATHMANDU: Sudurpaschim Police has directed District Police Office, Doti to suspend and initiate an investigation on the three policemen guarding Rajendra Bohara, accused of rape and murder of Samjhana Kami.

According to SSP Mukesh Kumar Singh, the spokesperson of Sudurpaschim Police Office, three policemen including a constable are to face suspension from the post hailing them responsible for the fled of rape and murder alleged Bohara.

He informed that Bohara was kept at the Doti-based Juvenile Correctional Institution for trial on a charge of raping and killing 12-year-old Samjhana of Masta village in Bajhang district.

Bohara was admitted to the isolation set up in Doti District Hospital after he tested positive for the coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Bohara managed to break through the security fence and fled around 10:30 pm on Thursday.

Sudurpaschim Police informed that further investigation into the incident is underway.
