BAITADI: Police have arrested a man with 10 kilograms of hashish in Baitadi district.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint police squad from District Police Office, Baitadi, and Sudurpaschim Regional Investigation Team rounded up 30-year-old Man Bahadur Dhanuk of Bungal municipality-9, Bajhang.
According to DSP Narayan Prasad Adhikari of DPO, Baitadi, Dhanuk was arrested during a security check while he was walking on foot carrying the narcotic drug in a bag. “We arrested him while he was walking in the street carrying the contraband in a bag,” said Adhikari.
He was taken under control with the contraband from Modalidhar of Purchaudi municipality-6 of Baitadi district, said police.
Police said they are taking Dhanuk to DPO, Baitadi for further investigation.
