RPP to stage mass demonstration in support of monarchy

JHAPA: Expressing its solidarity with nationwide movement in favor of monarchy and Hindu nation Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is planning to organize a mass demonstration in Jhapa on Saturday.

According to Rajendra Lingden, lawmaker in the federal parliament from Constituency 3 of Jhapa, RPP is going to organize a motorcycle rally on Saturday in favor of monarchy and Hindu nation.

RPP has appointed lawmaker Lingden the coordinator of the movement in Jhapa.

Lingden has anticipated the participation of thousands of people in the rally.

“At least 10,000 people will have their active participation in the rally,” a member of Lingden’s organizing committee shared the reporters.

Sensing that the public sentiment against federalism has made conducive environment for RPP to come out with its former agenda of Hindu nation, monarchy and unitary form of government, RPP has started the campaign with its agenda nationwide.

Twelve years after the end of monarchy in the country, demonstrations in favor of the monarchy and the Hindu nation have resumed in major cities of the country.

Thousands of people participated in the demonstrations in Kathmandu, Butwal, Pokhara, Nepalgunj, Surkhet, Dhangadhi, Janakpur, Biratnagar among other places.
