Murder accused arrested after 23 years



KATHMANDU: A man who had been on the run after murdering his colleague has been arrested after 23 years. Mankaji Shrestha known as Dhruva was arrested today by CIB of Nepal Police.

He had been charged of murdering Shyam Khadka of Panauti, Kavre in Kathmandu in 1994. The Kathmandu district court had issued a warrant in the name of Shrestha, a resident of Ramechhap.

He was arrested by the CIB team from Thasikhel in Lalitpur metropolitan city-5, said Superintendent of Police Bel Bahadur Pandey. He was presented before the Kathmandu district court for necessary action.
