Health Ministry urges people to celebrate Dashain wherever they are

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has appealed people to celebrate Dashain wherever they are.

The Ministry has made such an appeal saying that the risk of going out of the Kathmandu Valley or entering the Kathmandu Valley from outside will increase.

“Dashain will come next year as well. Let’s celebrate Dashain wherever we are, ”said Dr Jageshwar Gautam, Spokesperson at the Ministry.

The ministry has been requesting to remain vigilant as the crowds will increase during the festival.

The number of infected people in Nepal has reached 86,823 as of Sunday, of which 64,069 have been cured. Currently, the number of active infected persons is 22,219.

In the last 24 hours, 1,599 infected people have been added in Kathmandu Valley.
