Surkhet reports another COVID-19 death



SURKHET: A woman has died of the coronavirus infection in Surkhet.

A 72-year-old woman of Bheriganga Municipality-6 in Surkhet died at Karnali Province Hospital on Saturday.

Nawaraj Kandel, Health Education Officer at the Ministry of Social Development, said that she was brought to the hospital for treatment in a semi-conscious state on Friday.

She was admitted to the ICU and put on a ventilator after her health condition worsened.

A total of nine people have succumbed to the pandemic in Karnali Province so far.
