Sandeep’s team Jamaica Tallawahs enters CPL semi-finals



KATHMANDU: Jamaica Tallawahs for which Nepal’s right-arm, leg spin bowler Sandeep Lamichhane plays entered semi-finals in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020 after Guyana Amazon Warriors registered a six-wicket win against Barbados Tridents in a match Friday.

A match between Jamaica Tallawahs and St-kitts-and-nevis-patriots scheduled for Thursday earlier was cancelled due to rain.

As a result, both the teams shared a point each. However, St-kitts-and-nevis-patriots, which had got three points, was eliminated from the tournament.

Jamaica Tallawahs with seven points is placed in the fourth position. Of the total eight matches it played, the team won three and lost the remaining. Trinbago Knight Riders with 16 points has already reached semi-finals.

Guyana Amazon Warriors with 12 points is put in the fourth place. Of the total 10 matches it played, it won six.

Likewise, St Lucia Zouks with 10 points already entered semi-finals. Of the total eight matches it played, it won five.

However, Barbados Tridents with four points was ousted from the competition. Out of a total of nine matches it played, it won only two.
