Gang fight at Man Mohan Hospital, doctors and nurses manhandled

Emergency Service Stalled



KATHMANDU: A gang fight that broke out between two youth gangs from Raniban and Dhungedhara area resulted in the smashing of glasses and assault of doctors and nurses of the Swayambhu-based Man Mohan Memorial Hospital on Thursday night.

The gangs smashed the emergency ward of the hospital and thrashed doctors and nurses serving the patients there.

This has led to the closure of emergency ward of the hospital.

According to the police, the youths of Raniban and Dhungedhara engaged in a gang fight during the row at a volleyball match.

The injured persons were taken to Man Mohan Hospital where another gang followed and attacked later.

The hospital has lambasted the manhandling of the hospital and the medics, and have demanded strict action against the guilty one.

The hospital has shut down emergency ward after the incident.
