Indian national dies of COVID-19 in Nepal



DHANUSHA: COVID-19 infection has claimed the life of an Indian worker in Dhanusha districts in Province 2 of Nepal.

The 65-year-old man hailing from Visakhapatnam of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh and currently working at Lomus Parenterals and Formulation Industry in Ramdaiya of Chhireshwarnath Municipality-3 had died on Thursday.

His report came positive for the coronavirus on Friday, said Vijay Kumar Jha, Co-Director, Directorate of Health of Province 2.

His swab sample was collected and tested at the Janakpur-based Provincial Laboratory on suspicion that he had died of the coronavirus as he had fever and diarrhoea for the past three days.

Personnel of Nepal Army (NA) have already managed the dead body, Jha further said.

With the death, the death toll from the pandemic in the district has reached 13.
