Rupandehi records three additional COVID-19 deaths



RUPANDEHI: Three people have succumbed to the disease in Rupandehi district on Friday morning.

Two among those dead are from Siddhartha municipality while the other is from Butwal Sub Metropolitan City.

A 64-year-old woman died in the course of treatment at Gautam Buddh Community Heart Hospital based in Butwal on Friday morning, said Ajaj Alam, the chairman of the hospital.

According to Alam, the woman had been admitted to the hospital on August 20.

Similarly, a 45-year-old man of Siddharthanagar-8 died of coronavirus on Friday morning.

According to Kedarnath Shah, the coronavirus focal person of Rupandehi, he was also suffering from kidney-related ailments.

Likewise, a 78-year-old man died in the course of treatment at COVID-19 Corona Special Hospital in Butwal on Friday morning.

Originally from Butwal-8, Milan Chowk, the septuagenarian had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since the last nine days.

High-blood pressure-ridden man succumbed to the virus at 9 am today, according to Dr Sudarshan Thapa.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus in Rupandehi has reached 14 as of Friday morning.
