Two arrested on charge of gang rape



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons for allegedly involved in a gang rape case on Thursday.

A team of the Metropolitan City Police Circle Thankot arrested Lokendra Bahadur Malla, 28, originally from Mugu and currently residing in Chandragiri and Ratan Bahadur Shahi, 23, of Mugu on charge of raping a 19-year-old girl at Chandragiri municipality-1, Dahachowk.

Circle In-charge DSPP Ghanashyam Shrestha said that the police team arrested them acting on a tip-off.

Action would be taken against the arrestees under the rape offense clause of the National Civil Code Act-2074 BS, according to the metropolitan city police circle.
