Province-1 plans isolation with 1,000 beds



BIRATNAGAR: Province-1 Chief Minister Sherdhan Rai has said the Province government was all set to set up isolation with 1,000 beds in the wake of growing cases of coronavirus.

Addressing a Province level virtual meeting from his office on Thursday, CM Rai directed the subordinate bodies to prepare detailed information about the isolation in the Province so that it would be helpful to forward the process for materializing the mega plan.

He informed that the Ministry of Social Development has been tasked to set up the isolation. However, the health facilities would be established with the cooperation among local levels and private sectors.

Coordination among the local levels would be made more robust to prevent and control the spread of coronavirus and treat COVID-19 patients.

Similarly, in the meeting, it was also informed that Province-1 government was tightening the security on the entry points like Pashupatinagar of Ilam, Rangeli of Morang, Tanganduwa and Gaurigunj of Jhapa and Bhantabari of Sunsari.
