Nepal Police at frontline in health security and border management: IGP Gyawali



PARASI: Inspector General of Police, Thakur Prasad Gyawali, has said Nepal Police was working remaining at the forefront for the health safety of citizens and managing the border together with maintaining law and order.

IGP Gyawali said this addressing a program after inaugurating the main gate of the Police Tactical Training College at Jargaha of Sunawal-11 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta Paschim) today.

He said Nepal Police has mobilized itself at the frontline round-the-clock for the health security of citizens in course of the prevention and control of COVID-19.

The remote-controlled main gate to the college has been constructed mobilizing the internal resources of the college and Rs 500 thousand provided by Sunawal municipality.

Mayor Bhim Bahadur Chhetri said the Police College has extended important support for maintenance of law and order, infrastructure development and for the prevention and control of COVID-19 in the municipality.

College principal, Senior Superintendent Basanta Bahadur Kunwar thanked the municipality and its residents who extended cooperation in the infrastructure development of the college.
