Bus driver arrested for ferrying passenger with fake vehicle pass



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested Ashish Thapa, 28, of Kohalpur Municipality-12 in Banke district on the charge of transporting passengers with a fake vehicle pass.

Police from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot and the Metropolitan Police Sector, Naagdhunga, found 24 passengers on the bus, Na 6 Kha 8445, while a pass was issued from District Administration Office, Banke for 37 passengers.

The bus driver was arrested by the police after finding that the pass was forged.

According to the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot, the passengers were sent to Radhaswami holding zone at Sundarighat in Kirtipur and Thapa was being investigated under the Criminal Code, 2074 BS.
