Youth returned home from quarantine dies in Surkhet



SURKHET: A youth returned home recently from quarantine at Janata Secondary School Bidypur died early this morning.

A 19-year-old youth of Panchapuri Municipality in the district had returned Nepal from India two weeks ago and was kept in the quarantine.

According to Municipality Mayor Upendra Bahadur Thapa, the youth was sent home after his lab test for COVID-19 was found negative on Wednesday.

He added that a medical team has gone to the site for collecting swabs of the deceased. The last rites of the deceased would be finalized after his swab report.

In-charge of Area Police Office at Babiyachaur, Police Inspector Asaraf Ali Ansari, said the youth who had reached home at around 12:00 pm last night died at 2:00 AM.

He further said the youth was kept at a home quarantine some 400 meters away from his home.
