Coronavirus kills 109, 127, infects 1,901,783 in USA



KATHMANDU: America, the worst-hit in terms of both deaths and infection cases, has reported 1,068 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 109, 127.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, with 20, 288 new cases, the number of infection cases has surged to 1,901,783 so far.

Currently, 1,107, 592 coronavirus patients are undergoing treatment at various hospitals across America, of which 16, 925 are critical.  Meanwhile, 684, 774 have recovered after treatment.

New York is the worst-hit with 30, 164 deaths followed by New Jersey and Massachusetts with 11,906 and 7, 152 deaths, respectively.

The US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) had declared Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency on January 31 in the US.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 213 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 387,957 and infecting 6,568, 239 people as of Thursday morning.
