Schools instructed not to enroll students during lockdown

KATHMANDU: Community and private schools, which have been closed due to the lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus, have been instructed not to enroll students online during the lockdown.

The government and private school institutions instructed the schools not to take online admission after complaints that some private sector schools have started enrolling through online sans permission and even charging fees for the month of April.

Tika Puri, President of the Private and Residential School’s Organization Nepal (PABSON), said no one was asked to enroll students online, media reports stated on Sunday.

He said that schools under PABSON across the country will not admit students.
