NOC Mobile Service: 260 LPG cylinders distributed

In a bid to ensure a smooth supply of essentials to the customers, the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has distributed 260 Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders through a mobile service and Teku based office on Tuesday and Wednesday.

NOC collected cylinders of various gas companies to distribute them to the customers.

Airlines may post $39B net loss in April-June

The aviation industry is likely to register a net loss of $39 billion during April-June 2020, according to a report by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

The report further said that revenue of the airlines may fall by 68 percent during the quarter, which is going through a tough phase amid the coronavirus crisis. The fall in demand would be the deepest in the second quarter, with a 71 percent drop.

NAC plane departs for Guangzhou to bring medical equipment

A Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) plane is bringing some 20 tons of medical equipment from China on Friday.

The plane left for Guangzhou at 11: 26 am on Thursday morning. The Kathmandu-based Flash Freight Logistics chartered the NAC flight to bring equipment for around 50 parties including Shankar Group, CG Foundation, Norvic Hospital, among other companies.

First flush of green tea goes to waste due to lockdown

As the farmers have not been able to pick green tea from the tea gardens due to the lockdown, the tea industry in the Ilam district is facing losses of millions of Rupees.

The tea leaves are outgrowing because of the delay in plucking. The first flush produces the highest quality of tea.

But due to the fear of transmission of COVID-19, farmers have not been able to pick up the tea leaves. All the processing industries in the district are also closed due to the lockdown.
