India’s Kerala reports three cases of coronavirus

KERALA: Indian state of Kerala has reported three cases of coronavirus.

Health Minister of Kerala, KK Shailaja has confirmed the third case of coronavirus saying a patient has tested positive in Kerala’s Kasargod.

The third case is a student who recently returned from Wuhan of China like the first two cases detected in different parts of Kerala, Indian media reports have said.

According to Shailaja, the patient is under treatment at the Kanjangad District Hospital.

It has been said that the patient’s condition is stable.

The government has kept more than 2,000 people under observation at different hospitals, and quarantine facilities.

According to reports, over 1,999 people have returned from China recently. Among them, 1,924 are under home quarantine, the remaining 75 are being monitored at hospitals.

Over 350 people have died in China’s Wuhan city so far affecting over 14,000 people in the country.

The disease has, so far, spread to around 25 countries.

Meanwhile, reports have said India has evacuated over 650 people from China’s Wuhan city.
