Rs 46.8 million graft case against Under Secretary Dhungana

KATHMANDU: Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Under Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Rajendra Dhungana.

In the charge sheet, CIAA has accused Dhungana of amassing illegal property worth Rs 46.8 million during his service as a civil servant.

An investigation carried out by the anti-graft body found out that Dhungana who joined civil service on August 3, 1992 spent and invested around Rs 54.8 million.

But, he could furnish the source of income for around Rs 7.9 million only.
