Lines up to Mt. Manaslu Camp II fixed for team including Bahrain’s prince



KATHMANDU: Sherpas have fixed the lines to the Camp II of Mt. Manaslu on Saturday.

According to the Seven Summit Trek, they will approach Camp III tomorrow.

A team including the Prince of Bahrain, who is on a visit to Nepal, will arrive at the base camp after a couple of days.

Earlier this morning, the team including the Prince of Bahrain, climbed the 6,119-meter-high Mt Lobuche at 8:50.

This is the first ascent of the season.

A team including the Prince of Bahrain Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa had arrived in Kathmandu on September 16 to scaled the mountain. The team consists of 15 Bahrainis and three British nationals.

The team has been allowed to climb Mt Manaslu and Mt Lobuche mountains.

Nepal’s Sherpa climbers and guides including  Mingma Sherpa, Tashi Lakpa Sherpa and 25 other Sherpas  assisted the team in climbing Lobuche.

The team including the Prince of Bahrain will stay in Nepal for about two months.
