Three die from coronavirus in Chitwan in last 24 hours

CHITWAN: Three coronavirus infected people died in Chitwan district in the last 24 hours.

One coronavirus infected died while undergoing treatment at Bharatpur Hospital while two others at Chitwan Medical College.

According to Bharatpur Hospital, a 35-year-old woman of Rapti municipality-9 died of coronavirus. She was undergoing kidney dialysis for the past three months.

The woman was admitted to the hospital on August 31 after she complained of cough and respiratory problems, reads a notice issued by the hospital.

She tested positive for coronavirus on September 2 and died this evening in the course of treatment at ICU.
Similarly, a 37-year-old coronavirus infected person of Gaindakot municipality-5 died this afternoon while undergoing treatment at ICU of Chitwan Medical College.

Hospital Director Dayaram Lamsal said that the deceased was admitted to the hospital on August 21 after suffering from kidney problems. He tested positive for coronavirus on August 26.

Likewise, a 40-year-woman of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-11 died of coronavirus on Wednesday night. She died while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

With this, the number of people who died from coronavirus infection has reached 20 in the district.
