CCMC directs CDOs to ease coronavirus restrictions

KATHMANDU: The COVID-19 Crisis Management Committee (CCMC) has directed the District Administration Offices (DAOs) to make arrangements to ease restrictions enforced to stem the spread of the coronavirus.

A meeting of the CCMC Direction Committee held at Singha Durbar on Thursday directed the DAOs to make arrangements so that the public conduct their daily activities.

Mahendra Prasad Guragai, Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, said the meeting also discussed making the ambulance service more effective and providing additional ICU and ventilator to COVID-
19 Hospital.

Similarly, it has been decided to operate the ventilator bank started by the Nepal Ventilator Service through the Department of Health Services.

Guragain said that the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has decided to instruct the airlines to implement the PCR tests strictly.

The meeting also discussed formulating additional strategies to address the problems seen with the rise of coronavirus infection.

Similarly, various festivals, processions and other activities will be conducted as per the criteria set by the concerned district administration office, said Secretary Guragain.
