Kathmandu Valley yet again witnesses record-high 445 COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Valley has yet again reported a record-high 445 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

Speaking at the regular press briefing, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, stated that 357 persons in Kathmandu, 46 in Lalitpur and 42 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus.

Similarly, the Ministry of Health and Population has recorded 1,228 new cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours.

Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam shared this information at a regular press conference on Thursday.

Among the total infection today, 834 are men and 394 women. With this, the number of infected ones reached 42,877.

The total number of people recovering from the infection has reached 24,207 so far The Ministry updated that 917 infected persons recovered in the last 24 hours.

A total of 13,413 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, he said.

The number of active infections stands at 18,413 with 10,671 in institutional isolation and 7,742 in home isolation.
