Prohibitory order in Saptari from Tuesday



RAJBIRAJ: Stating that coronavirus is increasing rapidly at the community level, the local administration in Saptari district has decided to issue a prohibitory order for six days starting on Tuesday.

The decision was taken at today’s meeting of the District Security Committee.

Chief District Officer of the District Administration Office, Saptari, Shankar Hari Acharya said that the order has been issued in Saptari district including Rajbiraj from 5 am tomorrow after 531 people were infected with coronavirus so far.

Acharya said that all traffic, vehicles and shops will be closed in the restricted area except for urgent work as per the decision of the District Security Committee.

Pursuant to Section 6 (3) of the Local Administration Act 2028 and Section 2 of the Infectious Diseases Act 2020, the District Security Committee has decided not to allow unnecessary movement within the Rajbiraj Municipality area. Essential services will operate regularly.
