Rautahat’s ward chair dies of respiratory complications, COVID-19 suspected

KATHMANDU: A ward chairman has passed away due to respiratory complications in Rautahat district.

The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Debendra Thakur, the chairman of Ishnath municipality-5.

According to Health Division Chief of Gaur municipality Dinbandhu Yadav, ward chairman Thakur breathed his last while being rushed to hospital.

The deceased had been suffering from fever, dry cough and respiratory problems.

Preparations are underway to conduct PCR test on him together with his family members since he had coronavirus symptoms.
