Over 18.2 mln infected with coronavirus globally

KATHMANDU: More than 18,200,000 people have been infected with coronavirus pandemic across the world as of Monday morning.

Until this news was composed, 217, 901 people were infected with the virus in a single day. With this, the number of people infected with the COVID-19 has reached 18,231,466 globally.

Meanwhile, more than 63 percent out of those infected from the virus have recovered from the COVID-19.

A total of 11,443,813 have recovered as of Monday morning.

According to the latest figures collated by Worldometer, 4,404 people died of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 692,420.

Coronavirus has killed 203,794 and infected 2,898,497 people in the European countries. Meanwhile, 1,748,455 have recovered from the coronavirus.

As many as 221,901 have died and 5,652, 173 have been infected from coronavirus in North America. Meanwhile, 2,914,948 have recovered.

Likewise, 99,324 have died and 4,449,929 have been infected from the virus in Asia. Meanwhile, 3,296,391 have recovered from the virus.

South America has witnessed 146,803 deaths and 4,244,182 infection cases, of which 2,851,399 have recovered from the coronavirus.

Similarly, 20,350 have died and 961,388 have been infected in Africa, of which 615,344 have returned home after recovery.

Similarly, 233 have died and 19,709 have been infected in Australia and Oceania. Meanwhile, 12,074 have recovered from the deadly virus.

Broke out in Wuhan City of China, the coronavirus has spread to 113 countries including two international conveyances across the world.
