Two go missing in Gulmi landslide



TAMGHAS: Two people have gone missing in a landslide that occurred at Maldi Dhantphant in Ishma rural municipality of Gulmi district.

According to Laxam Bahadur Bista, chief of Ishma Rural municipality, a woman and man went missing while two others have been rescued in the rain-induced landslide. The landslide occurred on Thursday night due to heavy rains, leaving 15 to 20 houses at high-risk.

Meanwhile, a joint team from Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police has been deployed to the incident site which is three hours walk from the district headquarters Tamghas.

Landslides have occurred in other places of the district, too, disrupting motorways creating difficulties in the movement of people.
