Pathao resumes its service with limited riders



KATHMANDU: Pathao, transport service provider to the public in the Kathmandu Valley, which had been hit hard by the coronavirus-induced lockdown, has resumed its services.

The public transport service provider, which resumed its services with 30 riders on Monday, has  now 120 riders.

But due to odd-even system, there around 50 to 60 riders providing services since Thursdy.

The riders have been provided with protective equiptment in view of the coronavirus infection.

There are around 50,000 riders are involved in this public transport service, according to the accompany.

Earlier, the government had tried to halt operations of both Tootle and Pathao but it rolled back its decision following massive protests by the public.
