6-year-old COVID-19 patient recovers



KATHMANDU: A six-year-old girl from Kapilvastu district who had contracted COVID-19 has been fully recovered and returned home today.

One of the youngest COVID-19 patients in the country, the minor was admitted to the ENT ward of Kathmandu’s Maharajgunj-based TU Teaching Hospital on May 12 for surgery in her respiratory pipe.

After a COVID-19 test conducted on her through PCR procedure, she was kept in the isolation ward of the Hospital and was treated there, Hospital’s executive director Prof Dr. Prem Khadga said.

Following her recovery from the flu-like infection, a surgery was performed on her last Monday, according to Dr. Khadga.

Dr. Khadga shared that the COVID-19 conqueror girl has been sent home after she fully recovered. RSS
