PM Oli consults with experts on resuming socio-economic activities

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has consulted with experts on the matters related to the prevention and control of coronavirus and easing the economic and social activities during the lockdown enforcement.

PM’s press adviser Surya Thapa shared that those present at the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence Baluwatar were deputy prime minister, minister for foreign affairs and minister for health affairs as well as high-placed officials, economic and health experts and social campaigners.

The government has enforced lockdown up to 14 June and subsequently made public a plan to repatriate its citizens stranded in India and other third countries. Lately, there is growing pressure on the government to gradually resume the social and economic activities.

It is said that the experts have recommended the government on further strategies to be adopted in the treatment and sensitization to people about COVID-19.
