Nepal’s coronavirus death toll reaches 9

KATHMANDU: Nepal has reported ninth COVID-19 death on Wednesday after a man from Dolakha died in course of treatment.

Speaking a regular press briefing on Wednesday, Spokesperson at Ministry of Health and Population Dr. Bikash Devkota said that a 76-year-old man from Dolakha breathed his last today at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH).

He was admitted to the Sinamangal-based Kathmandu Medical College for treatment on May 26 following a brain hemorrhage stroke and had tested positive for coronavirus after his operation was performed, Spokesperson Dr. Devkota said.

He was then shifted to TUTH and died in course of treatment today.

A total of 201 new cases of coronavirus have been reported as of this afternoon taking the tally to 2,300, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
