COVID-19 patients test positive for coronavirus for second time

KATHMANDU: Two among the four COVID-19 infected patients, who are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital, have tested positive in their second tests.

The Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital said the girl, who returned from France on March 17, and the man, 32, from Dhading, who had returned from the UAE on March 18, have tested positive in their second tests.

As the second test has come out positive, hospital sources said they will have to remain in the hospital for a longer period of time.

Had the second reports come negative, they would have been discharged this week.

The hospital said it sent the throat swab samples of both the coronavirus-infected patients on Tuesday to the National Public Health Laboratory for test.

Meanwhile, the health condition of both the patients is normal.
