COVID-19 test begins in Hetauda

HETAUDA: Chief Minister of Bagmati State, Dormani Poudel, today said tests for COVID-19 has begun at Hetauda from today.

In a message, Chief Minister Poudel said all preparations have been completed at the Vector-Borne Diseases Research and Training Centre’s laboratory.

The test was initiated by testing a sample of swab collected from a patient at the laboratory today.

According to Poudel, all equipment and human resources required for the lab have arrived in Hetauda.

He informed that the lab can conduct tests on maximum 75 samples every day.

Chief Minister Poudel further said that the spread of the coronavirus has been checked in the country because of the far-sighted steps and effective measures taken by the Government of Nepal.

He hoped that all the coronavirus-infected people in Nepal will get well and return to their home within some days.

The Chief Minister also thanked doctors, health workers, technicians, security personnel and employees of various government bodies working day and night in the prevention and control of COVID-19.
