MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn, who celebrates his 51st birthday on Thursday, donated Rs 5.1 million to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to help daily wage workers of the industry affected by the lockdown owing to coronavirus.
FWICE’s Chief Advisor Ashoke Pandit took to social media to thank actor for his contribution.
Pandit has also urged other actors, directors and producers to come forward and help the people in need, Indian media reports have said.
Earlier, another actor Salman Khan had extended a financial support to 25,000 daily wage workers from the film industry.
