7 Nepali migrants infected with COVID-19 in Spain

KATHMANDU: The number of Nepali migrant workers infected by the coronavirus has reached seven in Spain after three more Nepalis were diagnosed with the novel virus.

They have been undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the Catalonia region of northwestern Spain.

Six among those infected are men while the remaining is woman.

Earlier, four people have been diagnosed with the novel virus. They have been discharged from the hospital after recovery.

However, they have been kept at isolation wards of hotels under the vigil of doctors, informed Sundar Ranabhat, spokesperson of NRNA, Spain.

According to the latest figures collated by Johns Hopkins University, the coronavirus has killed 9,387 and infected 104, 118 people in Spain as of Thursday morning.
