Face mask made compulsory at TIA

KATHMANDU : Considering the possible threats of coronavirus pneumonia, the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) administration has suspended the distribution of ‘visitor pass’.

Issuing a press note on Monday, the TIA Civil Aviation Office said that the ‘visitor pass’, which was given for the comfort of the passengers is now put off until further notice.

Likewise, the Office has asked the commoners not to enter into the airport premises to welcome the inbound passengers and see off the outbound passengers except in case of emergency and use the face mask if they enter.

The officials said that the fresh move was taken as a precaution measures against Covid 19 after the World Health Organization (WHO) listed Nepal is the high-risk zone of the coronavirus outbreak.
