Nepali evacuees from Wuhan test negative for COVID-19

To be sent home today



KATHMANDU: All the 175 Nepali evacuees from Wuhan, China put in isolation have tested negative for COVID-19.

Their samples were taken on the 14th day on Saturday for the second time to diagnose whether they are infected with the deadly disease.

According to Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population Bikash Devkota, all of them will be sent home today as their results came negative.

On February 15, a total of 175 Nepalis had been airlifted from Wuhan City of Hubei Province of China, the epicenter of coronavirus. They have been staying in the quarantine camp at Kharipati since February 16.
