Probe panel formed to investigate shoe attack on Dahal

KATHMANDU: A probe committee has been formed to investigate the incident involving the shoe attack aimed at Nepal Communist Party (NCP) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Metropolitan Police Office, Ranipokhari on Monday formed a three-member probe panel under the coordination of SSP Sahakul Thapa on Monday.

The other members in the committee include DSP Hobindra Bogati of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu and a Police Inspector of Metropolitan Police Circle, Singha Durbar.

Ratan Tiruwa, who originally hails from Jumla district, hurled a shoe at Dahal while he was returning to his seat after delivering a speech at a program organized to commemorate late NCP leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari at the City Hall in the capital on Sunday.
