KATHMANDU: Preparations for a kidney re-transplantation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the Chairman of Nepal Communist Party (NCP), have been over.

Prime Minister Oli will be admitted to TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj today itself as he is undergoing kidney re-transplantation on Wednesday.

The prime minister has been undergoing regular dialysis after the kidney that was transplanted some 12 years ago stopped functioning.

Oli had undergone coronary angiography of his heart at the Maharajgunj-based Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center on February 18.

Doctors opted for re-transplantation after his health report turned out to be normal.

The Secretariat meeting wished the prime minister for the successful operation and speedy health recovery, Shrestha said.
