KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) District Committee Jumla has demanded a stringent action against Ratan Tiruwa for hurling a shoe at Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Tiruwa hurled a shoe at Dahal while he was returning to his seat after delivering a speech at a program organized to commemorate late NCP leader Bharat Mohan Adhikari at the City Hall on Sunday.

Issuing a press release, NCP District Committee, Jumla has condemned the act and claimed that Tiruwa is associated with outlawed Biplav outfit.

“Tiruwa is often involved in criminal activities carried out by outlawed Biplav outfit in Jumla and features in the wanted list of the police.  He should be penalized for the condemnable act he carried out at the City Hall,” reads the press release issued by NCP District Committee, Jumla.
