Five coronavirus suspects in Nepal test negative so far



KATHMANDU: A patient who had been referred to the Kathmandu-based Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital from Dharan following suspicion of coronavirus has been tested negative.

According to the hospital, out of the six patients so far, only one patient has been tested positive for the deadly virus.

A patient who had visited the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences was suspected of being infected with the coronavirus.

He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital on Thursday following a complaint of high fever and throat pain.

A permanent resident of Dharan-11, the patient had arrived in Nepal from South Korea some five days ago. But, it was established that he was not infected with the virus.
