Two fake cops arrested in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons from Kageshwori Municipality-7, Mulpani while they were threatening people claiming them as cops.

The arrested are Sumit Shrestha, 26, and Raj Kumar Nepal, 29, of Sindhupalchowk and currently living Bhaktapur.

They were arrested on Wednesday.

A police team deployed from Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha also confiscated a motorcycle, Ba 85 Pa 6274, four purses, four mobiles, a silver necklace and Rs 21,935 from their possession.

Police said they are further investigating the case.
