A Nepali killed in fighting in Kashmir

KATHMANDU: Arjun Thapa, 25, a Nepali serving as a rifleman in the Indian Army was killed in fighting in Kashmir on Wednesday.

Thapa along with another Indian Army personnel, Naik Sawant Sandip Raghunath, 29, were killed in an exchange of fire with Pakistan militants.

Thapa who hailed from Gorkha district of Nepal is survived by his wife Sarita Thapa Magar, Indian media reports have said.

The Indian Army retaliated when Pakistani militants were trying to sneak into India through the Line of Control on Wednesday morning.
