  15-year-old gets life in prison



SINDHULI: District Court Sindhuli has sentenced a 15-year-old boy to life in prison.

A single bench of district Judge Kiran Prasad Siwakoti ordered the life imprisonment for the teenager on the charge of murdering a 13-year-old Chhalimaya Moktan of Marin Rural Municipality-1.

The court handed him 14 years 10 months and seven days in jail-term – a half of the life imprisonment – on the ground of being a minor.

The assailant on September 19, 2019, had murdered Chhalimaya in cold blood after she denied his sexual proposal in a nearby jungle.
