Oli agrees to attend Secretariat meeting following consultations with leaders



KATHMANDU: Chairman of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has agreed to take part in the Secretariat meeting today.

Prime Minister Oli, who had expressed his unwillingness to attend today’s meeting, has agreed to take part in the meeting following consultations with the leaders of his faction this morning, said Baluwatar sources.

Posting a twitter message Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa said the meeting has been rescheduled for 2 pm, citing busy schedule of the Prime Minister.

Talking to Khabarhub, Deputy Parliamentary Party Leader Subas Nembang confirmed Prime Minister Oli is taking part in today’s Secretariat meeting adjourned for 2 pm.

Dahal-Nepal faction was determined to continue with the meeting even without the presence of Prime Minister Oli.

The Secretariat meeting which lasted for around three hours on Tuesday had ended with an agreement to resume at 1 pm today.
