People’s movement increasing at Patan Durbar Museum

LALITPUR: Visitors have increased at Patan Durbar Museum after the museum was reopened for public from November 23.

The museum was closed along with announcement of lockdown by the government to prevent the coronavirus infection.

Officer at the museum, Sureshman Lakhe, said that the museum has been opened from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

He said, “Around 70 people visit the museum every day. The number of people visiting the museum is increasing day by day.”

Domestic as well as foreign tourists have stared visiting the museum opened after the coronavirus pandemic, added Lakhe.

The Patan Durbar Museum has been exhibiting photos and documentary of Natyakala festival held on November 27 and 28.

Around 30 photos of dance and 24 minute documentary have been exhibited in the expo.

Similarly, people’s movement has also increased at Patan Durbar Square. The movement of people was nil at Patan from the month of April with the coronavirus pandemic.

Patan Durbar Square is the area full of temples and heritages with archaeological importance. It is the oldest city among the three cities of Kathmandu Valley. RSS
