One killed, two injured in Panchthar road mishap



PANCHTHAR: A person has died and two others sustained critical injuries in a road accident at Phidim municipality-1 in Panchthar.

The deceased has been identified as Arjun Shankar of Phidim-1, said District Police Office (DPO), Panchthar. Arjun Shankar died on the spot.

Similarly, Arjun Magar, 21, of Garamani-1, Jhapa and Parbat Gurung of Dharan Sub Metropolitan City-1 sustained critical injuries in the accident, said Police Inspector Dambar Bishwokarma.

They are undergoing treatment at Birta City Hospital, Jhapa.

The incident took place when a pick-up van, Ba 19 Cha 5736, heading to Jorsal from Phidim went out of control and fell some 150 meters down the road.
