Province 1 records 259 fresh cases, 449 recover

BIRATNAGAR: A total of 259 people have been infected with the coronavirus in Province 1 on Monday.

According to the Ministry of Social Development, there are 92 new cases in Sunsari, 80 in Morang, 61 in Jhapa, two each in Udayapur, Tehrathum, Sankhuwasabha, Ilam and Okhaldhunga, on each in Dhankuta, Bhojpur and Taplejung, and 13 outside the Province.

With the new cases, the coronavirus tally in the province has reached 19,791.

Meanwhile, 449 people were discharged today, taking total recoveries to 11,547.
