Ujjwal Thakuri inks 7th Guinness World Record in USA



KATHMANDU: Ujjwal Thakuri, the karate player of US Marine Goju has received registered his 7th Guinness World record recently.

According to Thakuri, he started his Guinness record race in 2017. A skilled martial arts player, Thakuri was honored with the ‘Who is Who Black Belt Legend Award’ three years ago.

He has set more than a dozen records in various events however, he feels proud at his success in inking the Guinness world record as a Nepali.

Thakuri, a Kathmandu born youth has been living in the USA since the last two decades.

Although Thakuri had set the record in New York on February 20, 2020, the coronavirus pandemic outbreak had delayed his certificate. He received the certificate in the last week of October only.
